Using the proposal writer
The proposal writer drafts each section of your proposal in your voice. This article explains how to get the best draft.
Steps

Open the proposal workspace from any opportunity.

Click into a section. Each section has its own pane.

Set the section context: which past performance entries to use, which win themes apply, and any specific requirements from the solicitation. RFI Hawk pre-fills most of this.

Pick the drafting mode:
- Extractive mode: only uses verbatim text from documents you have uploaded. Hallucination-free by construction. Best for technical narratives that must be exact.
- Citation-locked mode: every claim is checked against your sources before you see it. Best for past performance and corporate background.

Verified mode: drafts more freely and flags claims for you to verify. Best for executive summaries and themes.

Click Draft This Section.

Read the draft. Edit. Save.

How to get a stronger draft
The single biggest factor is the past work you have given the system. Upload at least two of your old proposals or capability statements before drafting.
Pick the drafting mode that fits the section. Do not use Verified mode for past performance; use Citation-locked or Extractive.
Set tight win themes. "We deliver on time" is too generic. "We have delivered every Department of Veterans Affairs medical IT project on time, in eight contracts over six years" is specific.
What to do if it does not work
If the draft sounds generic, you do not have enough past work uploaded. Add more.
If the draft contains a claim you cannot verify, switch to Extractive or Citation-locked mode.
If the draft hits the wrong tone, edit a paragraph in the voice you want and click Re-draft. The system will match your edit.
