Setting up your business profile
Your business profile is the most important data you give RFI Hawk. The more complete and accurate it is, the better your daily matches.
Steps
-
From your dashboard, click Settings, then My Business Profile.
-
Fill in every field. Each field has helper text that explains why we ask.
-
Legal business name: the name on your tax filings or your federal registration. We use this when we draft proposals and capability statements for you.
- What your business does: a few sentences in plain English. We use this to suggest NAICS codes and to weight matches.
- NAICS codes: pick three to five that match your work. See the article on picking NAICS codes if you are unsure.
- Keywords: five to ten phrases you would search for. Separate with commas.
- Number of employees: include yourself.
- State and city: where your business is based. We use this for geographic matching.
- SBA certifications: 8(a), HUBZone, WOSB, EDWOSB, SDVOSB, VOSB. Check any that apply.
- Federal registration UEI: if you have a federal Unique Entity Identifier, paste it here. If you do not, leave blank.

What to do if it does not work
If save fails, your network may have dropped. Copy the field that took the longest to fill in, refresh the page, and paste it back.
If you are not sure about a field, leave it blank and save what you have. You can come back to add the rest. A partial profile is better than no profile.
