Understanding your fit score
Every opportunity in RFI Hawk has a fit score from 0 to 100. The higher the score, the better the match for your business. This article explains what goes into the score so you can use it intelligently.
What the score means
A score of 90 or above means a strong match across most factors. You should look at every opportunity in this range.
A score of 70 to 89 means a good match but with at least one weak factor. Worth a look. Read the explanation to understand what is weak.
A score of 50 to 69 means a partial match. Read carefully before spending time on it.
Below 50 means a poor match. Skip unless you have a specific reason.
What goes into the score
The score is a weighted blend of: - How well your NAICS codes match - How well your keywords match - Whether you qualify for the set-aside - Whether the agency is one you have worked with before - Whether the contract is sized right for your business - Whether your past performance matches the work - How crowded the field of likely bidders is - A few other factors
Each opportunity shows you a plain-English explanation of why it scored where it did.

What to do if it does not work
If your scores are all low, your profile is incomplete. Check that you have NAICS codes, keywords, and any set-aside certifications filled in.
If scores are high but the matches feel wrong, the keywords may be too broad. Refine your keywords from your profile.
