Solicitation description
This notice serves to document the award announcement via SAM.gov that on 24 September 2026, Raytheon Missile and Defense (RTX), Tucson, Arizona, was awarded a $160,892,270 Undefinitized Contract Action (UCA) (N00024-25-C-5409 P00010) for Standard Missile 6 (SM-6) Transition to Production efforts. This effort will support the initial production and preparation for Full Rate Production (FRP) of the SM-6 Block IAU missile, which is a critical obsolescence upgrade to the SM-6 Block IA AUR. This contract is funded with U.S. Navy funds. This contract was not competitively procured in accordance with 10 U.S.C. 3204(a)(7) and Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.103-7, public interest exception to full and open competition.
