Solicitation description
The purpose of this notice is to announce the release of the Request for Proposals (RFP), the pre-proposal conference, and a site tour. The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) has released the Request for Proposals (RFP) for the selection of a management and operating contractor for the Thomas Jefferson National Accelerator Facility (TJNAF) located in Newport News, VA. DOE is seeking proposals from qualified Offerors interested in competing for this contract. Proposals are due by 5:00 p.m. Eastern Time on October 3, 2025. DOE will host a virtual pre-proposal conference on August 18, 2025 to discuss the salient elements of the RFP. DOE will also host a site tour for those interested on August 27, 2025. Registration information for both events is available on the TJNAF competition website. Specific details of the contract performance requirements are described in the RFP. All questions regarding the RFP must be submitted to the official TJNAF competition email address at TJNAFcompetition@science.doe.gov. Submission of questions by other means is not authorized. All questions must be submitted no later than ten (10) calendar days prior to the date the proposals are due. Questions and answers, if appropriate, will be posted on the TJNAF competition website.
