Responders are solely responsible for all expenses associated with responding to this RFI. SOURCES SOUGHT DESCRIPTION This is NOT a solicitation announcement. This is a RFI only. The purpose of this RFI is to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources and their size classification relative to NAICS 325120 (size standard of 1000 Employees). Responses to this RFI will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. After review of the responses to this RFI, a solicitation announcement may be published. Responses to this RFI synopsis are not considered adequate responses for a solicitation announcement. The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), VISN 22 Network Contracting Office, is seeking sources that can provide Dry Ice deliveries that at a minimum meets the following below for the VA San Diego Healthcare System: STATEMENT OF WORK (SOW) Introduction: The purpose of this Statement of Work (SOW) is to outline the tasks and responsibilities of the successful offeror in relation to VA San Diego Healthcare System Pathology and Laboratory Medicine Service department (PALMS) VISN 22 procurement request1 for Dry Ice delivered onsite. Background. VA San Diego PALMS needs to purchase dry ice deliveries for packaging, transporting and shipping patient specimen samples. Scope. The contractor shall deliver Dry Ice for Pathology and Laboratory Medicine Services for the VA San Diego Healthcare System, San Diego, California. Estimated Period of Performance: 09/18/2026 - 09/17/2027 BASE 09/18/2027 - 09/17/2028 Option Year 1 09/18/2028 - 09/17/2029 Option Year 2 09/18/2029 - 09/17/2030 Option Year 3 09/18/2030 - 09/17/2031 Option Year 4 The contractor will be responsible for the following: The contractor will deliver Dry Ice to VA San Diego PALMS Laboratory Rm 1229A Send-outs office, Bldg 1, 3350 La Jolla Vill Dr, San Diego CA 92161 2 deliveries per week, 100 lbs each delivery. Monday and Thursday @ 8:am 11:am Each piece of ice needs to tubular shape in shape half inches in diameter various lengths max 2.5 inches or less Pour dry ice in ice chest.
