REPLACEMENT OF FOUR (4) INDUSTRIAL WASHING MACHINES

Solicitation description

The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Federal Correctional Institution, Edgefield, South Carolina intends to award a government order to the vendor/contractor who can provide the most cost effective means in obtaining two industrial washing machines for the Laundry Department. These washing machines-extractors will be used for washing of inmate uniforms. The washing machines need to be able to withstand heavy loads. The washing performance needs to maximize output to meet the daily workload. These washers need to be capable of increasing energy efficiency and reduce washing times to help on-premises laundries increase the output, while decreasing operating costs. The capacity of three of the washing machines/extractors must meet that which is 140 lbs. The washing machines/extractors must be equipped with a programmable control. The dimensions must fall within overall width- no more than 53 inches; overall depth - no more than 76 inches; and overall height - no more than 70 inches. As for the cylinder, the cylinder diameter must not be larger than 42 inches. The cylinder depth must not be more than 26 inches and the cylinder volume must not be more than 21 cubic feet. The door must have an observation window. The motor should be of the horsepower to run the washer. Must drain to rear, single motor inverter drive. When offering your proposal, please include all details regarding the product you are offering to include installation costs and any information on warranties. (See attached Request for Quotation). The capacity of one of the washing machines/extractors must meet that which is 60 lbs. The washing machine/extractor must be equipped with a programmable control. The dimensions must fall within overall width- no more than 35 inches; overall depth - no more than 56 inches; and overall height - no more than 57 inches. As for the cylinder, the cylinder diameter must not be larger than 42 inches. The cylinder depth must not be more than 22 inches and the cylinder volume must not be more than 9 cubic feet inches. The door must have an observation window. The motor should be of the horsepower to run the washer. Must drain to rear, single motor inverter drive. Deliveries will be made to the Federal Correctional Institution, 501 Gary Hill Road, Edgefield, South Carolina 29824. The contract type is a firm-fixed price. The contracting official intends to make this award on an all or none basis. The Government will award to the responsible quoter whose offer, conforming to the solicitation, is considered to be most advantageous to the Government, with price considered equally.
