The Washington Headquarters Services (WHS), in support of the Department of War Office of the Under Secretary of War for Research and Engineering (OUSW(R&E)) Scaled Directed Energy (SCADE), awarded the Joint Directed Energy Consortium (JDEC) to National Security Technology Accelerator, Inc. (NSTXL). JDEC is a consortium-managed other transaction agreement awarded under 10 USC 4022 with a ceiling of $500,000,000.00. The JDEC will support advancement of scaled directed energy via project agreements under the following authorities: 10 USC 4021 (research), 10 USC 4022 (prototype), 10 U.S.C. 4023 (experimentation), and 10 U.S.C 4025 (prizes).
